I picked pie cherries and Bing cherries at Shady Lane Orchard the morning of the 4th of July. I had never tried a lattice crust before, but it's really not difficult. This is one of four tartlets I made. I used a standard Cherry Pie Filling recipe from my old Betty Crocker cookbook, but I always make an all-butter crust.
